The Bruders are very active in the Drywood-Yarrow Conservation Partnership a local stewardship group focusing on watershed management and educational activities.

“What I’d like moving forward is for the consumer to be involved in the partnership on the land. This would mean the consumer being able to understand that for us to take good care of the animals, their food… I need to take good care of the land and all His creatures. Together the consumer and I would have an understanding – a commitment to seeing the bigger plan, being a partner with the land.”

Nophalt is a dark cherry red bull from the Jansen Ranches 2010 sale. He is passing on his extreme depth of rib and guts to his calves. They have averaged 90 pounds at birth, and are gaining very well in the development pens. Nophalt has very good foot and leg structure. He injured his stifle this spring, but is still breeding 40 head of cows per year. He is doing a very good job for us.
